In the afternoon, after I got back from that first adventure, my co-VISTA and I went on a scavenger hunt of Providence. A lot of the places I had already heard of or seen, but I wanted to share one with you.
I didn't get outside shots, but this is the inside of Craftland, which is Providence's less squeezed-in version of Wholly Craft! And lord jesus, it's a mecca of sorts.
But the real reason I'm sharing this with you:
Stupid shirt didn't have enough room to unfold. It says:
DON'T MESS WITH RHODE ISLAND either.
And in case you couldn't tell, an itty-bitty Rhode Island is sitting in the middle of giant Texas. There were other things there, but I was with people, and you can only take so many cell phone pictures before you become a weirdo.
So 1.) Texas shout out! and 2.) Does this count as having met your challenge?
1.) I sincerely hope you sent that picture to Scott.
ReplyDelete2.) It will do for now, but considering how much you say people love that city, I'm betting there's a lot more of that sort of thing out there. You probably guessed those photos were from the display window of Wholly Craft, so that was quite fitting.
Oh, I also meant to tell you that I knew that about food stamps because people left them on the counter at work on occasion, and I think you should be glad you don't have to pull out a bunch of stamps at the grocery store. That would not be fun, but I bet they'd be cute. You should craft a stamp-shaped sleeve for it.
ReplyDeletehahahaha, I love the idea of stamp-shaped sleeve. Yeah, I mean it's good that food stamps are not particularly conspicuous. The whole thing feels very weird to me, so I'm just pretending that because the federal government pays me anyway and won't let me get a second job, this is their way of continuing to pay me.
